How To Juggle Time As A College Student

Posted by coforeva | Posted in Blog | Posted on 28-02-2010

One of the most important things a college student can do is volunteer. As a college student, I understand the demands of a busy life. From exams, to extracurricular activities, it can a lot to juggle, but I always try and make an effort to volunteer. Volunteering not only gives back to the community, but also can make you a more well rounded student. Here are my tips on volunteering for college students.

Find Your Passion

Before you can start volunteering it is important to find what you are passionate in. If you love animals, why not spend a few hours at your local SPCA? If you like working with children, why not volunteer at after school programs and help kids with their homework. Finding your passion, is all about figuring out what you enjoy and discovering your skills. If you are a singer, you could give vocal lessons to those who have a passion for singing. Use your skills and talents to help others.

Do Your Research

Research what organizations that you might like to volunteer for. Boys and Girls club is a place that I would often go to as a child and now I like to volunteer my time there. When researching different organization, find out what their mission is , how their helping others and how volunteers can get involved.

Create A Schedule

To help make time for volunteering, it is important to make a schedule. What I like to do is use a calendar and writer down my weekly schedule. I write down when I go to school, do homework, work and any other weekly responsibilities. Then in places where I have free time, I use that time for volunteering. To balance everything, It takes organization and commitment. If you can only volunteer for an hour or two each week, that's ok.

Holidays Are A Great Time Volunteer

The Holiday season is when people spend time their families, enjoy presents and delicious food. But for many families going through hard times, the holidays can a be a less than joyful time. The holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas is great time to help those who are less fortunate by helping at soup kitchens, homeless shelters and shelters for women.

This gives you an opportunity to help make someone's holiday special.

Volunteering is one the most rewarding things that a person can do. Not only are helping others but you're helping make your community a better place.

Never Ever Give Up!

Posted by coforeva | Posted in Blog | Posted on 19-02-2010

Trials are regular portion of ones life. It can be considered as a memorable and tough knowledge when your perspective is appropriate. Can you imagine the hardest trial you may come across? For many, it might be a failure to do very best in the test, financial meltdown or loss of job which often results to low self-esteem and self-value. Probably, for some it is a fatal car accident, illness of one of the relative or even loss. What ever might it be, at least a few of those sometimes touched us or our family in one way or another.

At this point over time, one could never hope to live a longer life as a result of way of life which we have, instead one would hope a much happier life. In a closer perspective, average family within the moment pointed out that many are dissatisfied, lonely, disgruntled and in hunger. A few are so discouraged with the life they are in; that they have given up and forgot the meaning of wish.

That's the reason most children presently realize it's so easy to desire big of what the need to be and to do when they grow up. But as time flies, these children might gradually realize that life’s trials causes their dreams to break into pieces. Frustrations, discontentment and aggression would hide the vibrant and colorful dreams of their earlier days.

In fact, we've got no control above some circumstances and issues that happen to us in our everyday lives, may it be unsatisfactory or a satisfied one. We do have options, either to live in hurt and discomfort or to persist and move on with life. In addition, everyone believes that there's a much Greater Force that guides us to a better and a happier future since we let go with the past and reside in the present.

Disillusionment will never leave us, it'll constantly cross our pathways in the future however regardless of that we could even now choose to take pleasure in each day as it comes and not to dwell on the stuff that we never can modify. As we amend our perspective in life, we also needs to think about the presence of the Greater Force that has the ability to change the specific situation which we're in. And with that, wish re-ignites again for all of us to be capable of begin dreaming once again. The expectations, joy and a enjoyable visualization will take us through hardship because we look forward and not give up again.

Welcome to my blog! =)

Posted by coforeva | Posted in Blog | Posted on 08-02-2010

Hello everybody and welcome to my blog. I'm so glad to start this journey with my blog. In the past time, I've had several blogs that I used to write down my opinions about the environment, technology and any other interesting happening in my life. But I gave those away soon after.

Today, I'm hoping to have a better grasp on blogging with more life experiences and hopefully more things to share. I hope to one day maybe have to own a domain name of my own, and have my website become known one day.

Travelling has been an important part of my life for around 2 decades now. I've been to virtually every part of the earth, Asia, Europe, America, and so on. I count myself as a experienced traveller, and I have had lots of experiences around the world. Whenever I travel, I carry my notebook with me, as I find it unrenounceable, especially with writing notes on the go. I like to take out my laptop, open it up with a nice hot cup of coffee, and then just read the latest news from around the globe, or start writing down my thoughts as I sip on some good, black coffee.

One thing that bothers me often is politics. Normally, international policy discussions that happen at government levels seem very far away, but they have very real impact on our lives. I hope to write about some of this in my blog as well. On the other hand, I'm very much into gadgets and I enjoy to read, so I'm sure I will have some blog posts about those topics also. I'm reading a book about business currently, and I normally read a new book every few weeks. I find the change in perspective engaging and fresh, and I like how you can glean new ideas from reading a book.

I hope you'll find my blog an engaging read, and I look forward to continue this journey with all of you.
